Are all of your workshops two days long?

No. We deliver one-day, day-and-a-half and three-day workshops. These customized classes are designed to meet the needs of our clients.

Do you train sales people?

Absolutely. Our training helps sales people organize and deliver their sales message. If your sales people have been through formal sales training, our training is a good way to help them execute the sales approach they’ve been taught.

Would you consider a format other than two consecutive days?

Yes. The potential hazard is lost momentum and focus. However, we have successfully managed this approach in the past.

I’d like to train a large group of people. Can we do that?

We’re pretty strict about the size of the groups we’ll train in a single session. We don’t recommend more than ten participants at a time, and most classes are smaller than that. It sounds like your group should be split into smaller classes.

Do you offer discounts if I purchase multiple classes?

Yes. We offer discounts when more than one session is booked in a calendar year.

What does my organization need to provide?

Two training rooms. Room One: should be large enough for the entire group and equipped with flip charts and a projection screen. Room Two: should be large enough for half the group. We provide the cameras, projectors, laptops for video playback and all other course material.

Why do you use two instructors?

Because the personal consultation provided by the second instructor is incredibly valuable. Think of it this way, our workshops combine (1) the benefits of group training—practice with real-life presentations, feedback from peers, personal recommendations from an instructor—and (2) the benefits of 1-1 coaching—private video review, in-depth discussion of the individual concerns, reinforcement of good habits, and help focusing on key development issues.

I have a mixed group. Some people are much more experienced and effective than others…can they attend the same class?

Mixed groups are fine. Training is highly individual and everyone gets equal time and attention. So regardless of where they are when they come in, Turpin workshops take people to their next level of effectiveness.

Do you recommend putting people at different levels within our organization in the same class?

It depends on the culture of your organization and the individuals involved. Will reporting relationships or the politics of the group hinder or enrich the feedback individual participants receive? Your answer to this question will determine the correct approach. If necessary, Turpin Communication consultants will help you think through this decision.

Do you offer courses to the public?

Yes, we offer open enrollment presentation skills classes.

We have a very large number of people to train. You are a small company, can you handle it?

Yes, as long as you don’t plan to train everyone at once. When we train large numbers of people from a single organization, the workshops are spread out over time.
