Running Effective Meetings
Fundamental skills for beginners
This foundation-level workshop introduces participants
to the basic skills and techniques necessary for leading
effective meetings. Through an interactive process in which
participants work on their own real-life meeting, skills are
introduced and practiced. Participants learn how to:
- Engage participants in the process
- Manage nervousness
- Set clear context and expectations
- Be clear and concise while presenting information
- Layout (and stick to) a logical agenda
- Listen and respond respectfully
- Encourage and control discussions
- Manage difficult people and situations
- Close the meeting by setting next steps and assigning responsibilities
Running Effective Meetings includes pre-work, 3-months
access to eCoach
as well as reusable job aids and reference
materials for applying what’s learned in class to situations
learners face outside of it.
