Pre-work for this class involves selecting a portion of the training session to practice in class, creating introductory slides for it and uploading the slides to Turpin for review prior to the live workshop. Depending on the trainers’ needs, this step may include an online eLearning course called “Preparing Your Training Session.”
During the class, we focus on two sets of skills. First, the presentation skills trainers need to organize and deliver training material. Second, the facilitation skills trainers need to manage the discussions and exercises that are part of the training process. As they practice these skills, they are video recorded. Then, as they review their videos, they receive private coaching from a Turpin trainer.
Workshops may be held at conference centers, hotels or your location. A typical class is two days long, has an enrollment of 8-10, and includes one-on-one video coaching.
